A leading international energy company is seeking an experienced Project Development Manager to spearhead the development of Wind projects across Germany, with a focus on the northern region. This is a high-impact role within a well-resourced and future-focused team, backed by a global leader in low-carbon energy.
Your Role
As Project Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for advancing Wind projects from early-stage development through to ready-to-build, overseeing all critical aspects including permitting, grid connection, and land acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of ground-mounted Wind projects across Germany
- Secure land, permits, grid connections, and manage environmental assessments
- Coordinate with internal experts (legal, technical, commercial) and external partners
- Build and manage relationships with local authorities, landowners, and consultants
- Monitor project risks and ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks and timelines
- Prepare investment cases and support project approvals
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience in Wind project development in Germany
- In-depth knowledge of permitting, land development, and grid processes
- Demonstrated success in bringing Wind projects to ready-to-build or financial close
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in German and English
- Willingness to travel regularly within Germany
- Based in or open to relocating to the Hamburg area
