A leading international energy company is seeking an experienced Project Development Manager to spearhead the development of utility-scale solar PV projects across Germany, with a focus on the northern region. This is a high-impact role within a well-resourced and future-focused team, backed by a global leader in low-carbon energy.

Your Role

As Project Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for advancing PV projects from early-stage development through to ready-to-build, overseeing all critical aspects including permitting, grid connection, and land acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of ground-mounted PV projects across Germany
• Secure land, permits, grid connections, and manage environmental assessments
• Coordinate with internal experts (legal, technical, commercial) and external partners
• Build and manage relationships with local authorities, landowners, and consultants
• Monitor project risks and ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks and timelines
• Prepare investment cases and support project approvals

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in utility-scale solar PV project development in Germany
• In-depth knowledge of permitting, land development, and grid processes
• Demonstrated success in bringing solar projects to ready-to-build or financial close
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in German and English
• Willingness to travel regularly within Germany
• Based in or open to relocating to the Hamburg area
